Tiny Tots

Tiny Tot 1: 6 to 18 months - exposure to water, parent participation required in the pool (larger group class)

Tiny Tot 2: 18 to 36 months - (Tiny Tot 1 completed), introduction to water safety and basic skills, parent participation required in the pool (larger group class)

3+ years old​
Swimmers can enter the pool with assistance and are introduced to basic water skills


Starfish
Swimmers are comfortable leaving parents; can put their eyes in the water for 3 seconds; and are able to relax in an assisted floating position

Beginner 1
Swimmers can put their eyes in the water for 5 seconds; can float independently on their front and back for 5 seconds; and are practicing freestyle techniques


Beginner 2
Swimmers can float independently on their front and back for 10 seconds; can kick in a streamline and do freestyle independently for 10 feet
Super 2
Swimmers can do a "flip and float" with limited assistance; swim on their front and get a breath independently; and kick on their back with limited assistance



Beginner 3
Swimmers can swim freestyle 25 feet; swim backstroke 10 feet with limited assistance; and tread water with assistance
Beginner 4
Swimmers can swim freestyle 25 feet with a side breath; swim backstroke 10 feet independently; and tread water independently


Advanced Beginner
Swimmers can swim freestyle and backstroke 25 feet independently; can do elementary backstroke 10 feet; can do breaststroke and butterfly with assistance
Beginner Intermediate
Swimmers can swim freestyle and backstroke 50 feet independently; can swim butterfly and breaststroke 10 feet independently; and can dive from a standing position


Intermediate 1
Swimmers can swim freestyle 100 feet; can swim backstroke 50 feet; and can swim breaststroke and butterfly 25 feet
Intermediate 2
Swimmers perfect all 4 strokes and have more endurance while swimming


Advanced Intermediate
Swimmers complete a disrobe and have more endurance while swimming all 4 strokes
Competitive
Swimmers can do competitive starts, turns, and legal strokes for individual medley
